Chinese/Japanese SPAM?

I do not understand why these people continue to attempt to post comments in foreign languages on moderated blogs?

a) I can not read what you are writing so I am unable to easily tell if the comment has any relevence or value.

b) If I've deleted or rejected all your other comments, what in heaven makes you think I might not do the same to any similar new comments? Especially given that I went off on one when I first started getting foreign comment spam. I know that at least one of you has English capabilities....

GRRRR. Please stop.

If I can't understand your comment I am not going to post it, no matter how relevent you think it might be.

[What's the betting I still have to waste my time weeding through this cr*p!? My procrastination time can be used on far better activities than this. GRRRRRR!!]

They get paid to put it there, they never come back to check. They don't care and neither do the people who pay them.

At least it's not personal unlike the attacks on James Moran. (He now has comments switched off completely.)

Then there are those who have their domains used as the "source" of email spamming and get their domain blacklisted as well as receiving thousands of bounced emails per day for months.

It's not nice but unfortunately until everybody in the world becomes a decent person it will persist. (But I'm hopeful.)

Because they aren't people, but ROBOTS.

They can't be bargained with. They can't be reasoned with. They doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And they absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

Or until the people running Blogger upgrade their word verification technology.

One of the two.

What happened to James sucks. ...

Dear Blogger,

Pretty please, for Christmas, can you upgrade your word verification technology to help prevent spambots spamming the comments?

Yours sincerely,

Eleanor

Hm, a robot you say ... I suppose that might make sense since it can't get through every time otherwise we'd be inundated.

I don't even have moderation on and I've never had a single one.

Apparently you can switch blogger comments to another system, these guys use "disqus" http://darkufo.blogspot.com/2010/01/new-comment-system-trial.html

You're lucky Daddio.

Once they find you, that's it.

I reckon one of the Terminator bots that follows me is an actual human being, who appears to be bilingual. Doesn't post anywhere near so frequently. ... Still blinking annoying though.
